Good to know things have changed.

15 years ago foreign away fans were kettled by police onto coaches from hotels to the ground and back.

Any who were found in the city centre in the afternoon were picked up by the police and delivered back to hotels.
You might still be escorted to the game by the police as an extra safety measure. Not sure whether that happened previous times English clubs visited. As I said, you should probably ask Spurs/Arsenal/Liverpool/Manchester United/Glasgow Rangers fans about their experience with Belgrade, as they can tell you first hand what's it like for a Brittish person. As far as I know, they didn't have any significant problems, but not sure about police escort.

But it definitely isn't anywhere near as dangerous as I've seen some fans suggest, and unless you purposly provoke them (there are some idiots still who like to pick up fights), you really shouldn't have any problems.

Definitely up for Belgrade , looking at a flight day before the game, and a flight home the day after , anyone on here any information on this .

Luton is your best bet for direct flights from the UK. If looking to go from Manchester it’s possible via Barcelona/Amsterdam. There’s also direct flights from a couple of German cities to Belgrade if you can get there

Kilmarnock fans had a great time in your city too. Pity the club got knocked out and weren't actually involved in the game, but still a good few hundred travelled for the Partizan Vs Connahs Quay game and had a fantastic time.

A booze boat tour on the Danube seemed a particular highlight from the photos and videos I saw!
