There's a lot of sports stuff now being sold to the public that comes with a 'professional fit' rather than a comfort fit. So 'professionally fitted' is it that yer can't get yer head through the head hole!
The poster you quoted is a good friend but he does have a head like a hairy breeze block so it wont be the first time he has encountered that problem tbf
