Champions League and 3rd kit

I don't wear football tops so doesn't bother me at all in that sense. I do prefer the team in a bright highly visible shirt though, think it helps the players a little. It is the dark away kits we seem to get each season these days that bother me, they look ok as a shirt but don't think it helps the players and our record in them often seems to be a bit ropey.

Instead of thinking of them as a fashion accessory, think of them as something to benefit the team. I think a big bright horrible kit like this will actually help the team pick out players etc

As I've said before, the young This! chaps and their ilk are the target for these. They loved last year's third kit (youngest went to pre-school footy this morning in full kit wanker mode) and they both love this orange/purple/whatever thing. They love the flourescent yellow goalie shirt too - though the eldest must be maturing a bit as he likes the white goalie shirt.

My lad loves it. But I knew he would because like I said months ago when this was touted as being the third kit, bright garish colours are all the trend.

I actually don't mind it and the other two have grown on me as well since seeing it on the team. Fat blokes will always look terrible in any football shirt but if it's putting money in the coffers who am I to argue.

At least we've avoided going for the 'left your socks' at home look. Actually do like orange/purple on kits, just not together. The fact that that's the least worst of the 3 kits shows just how much Nike are mugging us off.

Yeah, my lad loves it too so I'll be getting it for him. Don't mind the shirt myself, but love the shorts. Might get a pair myself.
