‘Never’ is a long time.
It’s pathetic, they said we’d never win anything again, then we’d never win the league. Those predictions turned out well.
Anyway fuck Uefa the rags and the rest of the history bollocks clubs.
‘Never’ is a long time.
We only signed one player this Summer (Mahrez), all we need to do is make sure we get key players to sign up to their contract offers and sign a Fernandinho long-term replacement this Summer and we'd be fine not signing anyone the year after. And you never know if someone would run down their contract somewhere and come to us on a free.No CL revenue = no budget for new players.
Ok. No CL revenue = no Dinho replacement. We only signed one player this Summer (Mahrez), all we need to do is make sure we get key players to sign up to their contract offers and sign a Fernandinho long-term replacement this Summer and we'd be fine not signing anyone the year after. We are doing perfectly fine in all of those areas as it is. We are on course to get more points than last year, into the latter stages of the league cup etc. Having no CL won't help us getting beat by Wigan in Jan when we dont have any CL games for 2 months. Never mind early round atmosphere in the CL, we won't have any kind of atmosphere if we aren't in it. It was rocking before that liverpool game last year and when Jesus scored it went absolutely crazy and we nearly pulled of a miracle bar the ref screwing us. If we made it to a CL final it would be a huge boost to the club and go a long way to helping justify expanding the stadium further.Be able to concentrate on a domestic treble which has never been done before
Be able to concentrate on getting as close to 114 points as possible
Will only play a maximum of 50 games in the season so players should have no problems with fatigue and should be raring to go the following season when we're back in it
We won't have to endure the group stages for a year which are often worse for intensity and atmosphere (and even crowd size) than early round League Cup games against lower league opposition
I personally will be able to stay in my own seat for all games (i'm moved in the CL)
They are the positives i can think of, i bet you other people will be able to match that with the same number of different ones.
It’d be interesting to see what percentage of season ticket holders are on the CL cup scheme compared to the FA and League Cup schemesI don’t think the majority of City season ticket holders wouldn’t care.
