Champions League: BT extends TV rights until 2021 in deal worth £1.2bn

6PM KO at the ETIHAD; we will have to start queuing when the kids come out of school!

More half days annual leave eaten into, tossers. They are just not bothered about the match going fan, but then start taking the piss when grounds are not full or fans don't create an atmosphere. More booos needed.
Is there a cross European supporters group where we can all get together against these greedy, inconsiderate Bar-stewards?

i may be proven wrong but i think most games involving british teams at home tend to be the later kick off in the europa league so i would be hoping that the same applies when introduced to the champs league

Its been reported that they wont make British teams play home games at 6pm, but away games are likely, even probable.

The current BT deal cost £879m or thereabouts and new one cost £1,200m so an extra £320m in round terms.

BT will do what they have to do to recover this outlay ..... but the real question is - who receives the money that they give to UEFA?

In the current deal English clubs receive a very large percentage based on results in CL and the Thursday Cup.

In the new deal in % terms the English CL goes down, the Thursday Cup goes up and the biggest increase goes to the pot shared out by all the other European clubs that take part .... the actual figures are there somewhere but I couldn't find then quickly.

In other words, English clubs and English customers are being taken for a ride.

David Gill strikes again...????
