I'm not disputing that, they got what they wanted a win..

But an out of sorts barca battered them for 90 mins and and created chance after chance..

It was just poor finishing why they didnt get anything out of it.

Can't argue with that mate .... going to make it an interesting 2nd leg that's for sure. Is it next week or the week after ?

Notice we didn't let Messi into our box at all and when he tried to he had our entire back line converge on him; so he spent most of the game in midfield with the chances falling to less clinical finishers like Sanchez and Fabregas. Our midfield got in their faces and restricted the space and Drogba held up the ball for Ramires and Mata to try to counter and employed some unethical behaviour to buy his defence breaks from the constant waves of attacks. Thats how you beat them and thats why we have the best European record against them of all English teams. Try and play football against them and they will crush you like the 5-0 against Madrid demonstrates.

Who was the manager when when you lost at our place? How many times did Barca hit the post? Miss sitters? How many shots on goal did you have last night? How many fouls did you commit on Barca?

As for Napoli you hit them on a terrible run of form. While we hit them when thu were flying high in the league. Unlike most clubs they can't rotate Hamsik, Cavani, Lavezzi, Maggio and Inler. As for Benfica, congrats. Your performances have been less than convincing on top of the fact that they haven't been necessarily in the name of footballing prowess. The post was your best player. Take your victory and enjoy for the next 6 days because Barcelona will not miss sitters at the Nou Camp and you can bet they will break you down on more than one occasion. The fact that you will very likely be broken down this weekend against an ailing Spurs side, and will have to defeat Barca/Bayern/Real suggests your confidence today should be proper checked.

I see some are finding it hard to accept that Chelsea won last night. I thought Barca would win by 3 comfortably but Chelsea had a game plan and stuck to it brilliantly. Drogba's game plan was to get hold of the ball and keep it or at least win a free kick, which he did quite often. Gamesmanship or not it worked.
I didn't particularly enjoy the style with which Chelsea played but the be all is to win the game, they did, Barca for all thier possession dominance didn't. As Billy said bit like us v Sunderland, all the ball but the one important factor is they scored the goal.

I'd play exactly the same side and game plan at Camp Nou, it'll be much harder with Barca, the huge crowd contesting everything if it isn't going thier way. Good luck to you.

You have some sort of scale of rape? I'd be interesting to see this scale so there are no more misunderstandings. If Barcelona played City, home or away, they'd have more possession than you, more attempts at goal and complete more passes. That is my point, and it seemed you were disagreeing with me.

They'd do it to City, Chelsea, Madrid, Milan, United or anyone else you put in front of them regardless of where they play. Of you tried to press them and opened up the space they like to pass through (in other words give them a game) you'll have a raping of a scoreline to match the play.
