To hell with it. Let's see what the draw delivers and have a lash at winning the thing. We're good enough, we just have to believe we're good enough.
Enough of this 'ooh, if only we could save such and such til later' talk. All that does is put ourselves on the back foot, psychologically. Ask yourself this if you don't believe me: Arsenal's whining about the timing of tomorrow's game - had it done them any favour?
Yes, there are some very good teams in the draw but, hey, guess what? We're one of them!
Great post, mad4.
I really don't mind which team we're drawn against, as we proved on Tuesday that we are a match for anyone.
However, if we could avoid one of them, it would be BVB, as I've already seen them at Etihad; that's the only reason.
I missed the Real Madrid game, so I would be happy to see them or any of the other three teams we can draw.
Let's be cynical:
Well, if we're regarded as the strongest side in the 2nd pot (& we probably are), we won't get PSG, if France's (shall we say) lucky World Cup draw is anything to go by. UEFA will want the Classico teams in the business end of things, so they'll have "everything crossed" that we avoid them, I'd say. That leaves Atletico or Dortmund...
Bring 'em on.
