We could only dream of games like these years ago. Let’s go for it we have nothing to lose.
We are light years better than psg. Especially if we press like we did against Leipzig in the home matchThat front three doesn't play in first eleven any more, they change their tactics and formation because of the balance of the team, they are not good as some think they are.
Against Psg they were playing against 9 players messi and mbappe were never helping to defend.
We are better that psg and we will beat this bayern.
lots of different routes.Which routes is everyone planning to take to get to Munich. Flights are cheap to Berlin but train times would make getting back from Munich to Berlin on Thursday morning very tricky
I agree it is better to face them over 2 legs rather than in the final. They have given goals way all season. Just press the hell put of them.Eonderful draw for us. Entertaining matches all around, and we are the best team in the competition. Tough for us, but even tougher for Bayern/Madrid playing against us. Anyway, I fancy our chances against them over 2 legs much more than in the final.
I've watched both teams several times this season and they are not that great as people here think. Bayern are poor defensively, and offensively they are not as great. Sommer is much worse than Neur both in GK ability and passing ability, so our press will work really well there. The only concern is their wingers that are absolutely world class, and I think we will need Walker (against Davies Coman/Mane/Gnabry), and Walker has been poor 80% of the season. And they are efficient with their chances, and we have Ederson so we'll concede at least a couple times.
Exciting matches ahead of us. Go City!!
Your logic is a touch fuzzy, but I'm going along for the ride with it :)To be fair, I don't think there's a route THAT much easier than the others, because there's more factors than just teams on paper.
We could want Benfica and say its an easier game but then look at us in the league, we beat Arsenal and drew with the likes of Everton. That's top level football for you.
At least with the likes of bayern there won't be any complacency.
Not to say we would definitely be complacent against Benfica but there can certainly be a catalyst of that complacency when the draw comes out and you think you've had a bit of a touch. All it takes is a smidgen of that and it can be the difference between winning and losing at this level
That's why don't mind the draw
Minimum...2nd leg at the Allianz is a disaster. We’ve been notoriously suspect away in Europe against good opposition in the KO rounds.
Lost away vs Monaco, Liverpool, Spurs, and Madrid. Drew vs Atletico but even then it was a tough game where we limped over the line. Ideally need a 2 goal cushion going back to Germany.
