It’s a weird one in the sense that if we got Inter in the group stage, I’d back us to spank them both home and away. However, in a final it’s a different beast.

The pessimist in me feels that things have been brilliant for us this season and that has to end somewhere. Inter have the tools at their disposal to hurt us and I could easily see us losing this game.

On the other hand, under Pep we are a team who learns from mistakes and bounce back. I don’t think we’ve conceded a goal vs Chelsea since the CL final and look at what we did to Madrid a year after the late heartbreak. I can also see Pep wanting to right the wrong from the previous final.

I think we either lose a tight game or go out there and absolutely spank them 3 or 4-0. Although another worry is that our outstanding performances have been at home this season rather than away.

I would say we would beat them 9/10 so hope it’s one of them!

On the way to the final; we played 12 games, Won 11, Drew 1, Lost 0… then put in one of the most limp and pointless all-time European final performances against a team nowhere near as good as us.

We have to be completely of the understanding that anything can happen in a final. Inter are nowhere near as good as us, but can beat us. However, the fact that this did happen in 2021 should be a good thing in terms of this coming final on Saturday.

In 2021 we had a purple patch in Jan and Feb which meant we had the league pretty much in the bag by early March. We then took our foot of the gas and coasted through the rest of the season. We were seriously undercooked when we played Chelsea.

This year‘s tougher Pl campaign and having to play our local rivals last week means we’re much better prepared for this final.

Let's have some perspective they will have serial underachiever Mkhitaryan pulling the strings in midfield and a 40 year old Dzeko leading their line , we will have KDB and Haaland.
No doubt Italian teams know how to defend and they will try every trick in the book diving , feigning injury , waiving imaginary yellow cards , time wasting and acting that could win an Oscar or two , but we are vastly superior in every department , if we do not score an early goal it will be a long evening but never been so confident before a major final , this team is probably the best Pep has produced , mentally , physically strong and potential match winners all over the team.
This is our time , we have had a few false dawns but it will not be just the Dippers bragging about Istanbul , there's a new team in town MCFC :)

Love it , but not so sure..Inter will park the bus...City need an early goal to loosen this or else wear the fookers down, stretch them til they're knackered and then go on for the kill

Noticed last week FA Cup that second half a number of players looked to be tiring badly obviously the heat a major factor wonder if this could be the same for Saturday night,hopefully not with it kicking off what is it 10pm local time ?
