With 11 youth team players! Can a side truly be considered great until it has won back to back trebles though?
Obviously hope he’s fit but wouldn’t lose any sleep it then meant Foden starts with Mahrez as back upOMG do you have any info about that? I saw him limping yeah, but not a word afterwards from the team.
It would be terrible if it's true, I guess we will hear many news today form Pep in the interview or there will not be an interview? I'm on pins and needles right now about this, I hope anyone knows something more about Silva's condition. :(
We win this and peps City side are immortalised forever.
100 points
domestic quad
Back to back titles x 2
4 league cups in a row
Threepeat
Beating United in a fa cup final
and now potentially the chance of a treble.
We win the game on Saturday and there will be no arguments about who the best side in English football history is. Whether we like it or not there would always be the caveat that we haven’t won this competition. win it and all counter arguments are put to bed. Better than the invincibles, better than any carnation of United, better than Jose’s Chelsea and better than any Liverpool side.
Exactly. Beckham is spot on. Winning the league for the last 100 and odd years is meaningless too because it has been done before!Yeah but you can't argue with Beckham's theory, that because they did it first no team can replicate that importance of a treble.
See? Argue with that :) :)
It took me a long while to finally accept that no matter how many times I turned the light switch on/off, and no matter how many times I unlocked/locked the door, it had no bearing whatsoever on the result of a game.I am not agonising any more over all these theories and possible team line-ups and omens and comparisons with the rags' treble. I have done so nuch agonising this season I've used up my reserves of agonisibility. (I've just invented a word, like Shakespeare used to do)
I've decided that what will be will be, and that nothing we can do will have any bearing on the result. I am eschewing all superstitions relating to City and the outcome of this match.
We are in the hands of external forces, and cannot influence the outcome. Some of those forces are malicious, but we can hope that the good (i.e. our players and Pep) can overcome the wicked and the followers of the left-hand path. I am thus becoming calm and fatalistic.
On the other hand, I fear I may be kidding myself............
