You can go on booking.com and setup an airport transfer. This is then normally sourced out to a reputable local taxi company who will be waiting for you. They usually keep in contact via WhatsApp before you arrive. Should cost you about £30 but better than messing around on Metros that time of night.

Finally booked a hotel after a lot of dithering! Sultanahmet for me and taxi booked from airport for £34 from SAW.

I just booked one through booking.com straight to hotel i booked with them and it was £34. Taxis probably cheaper but at that price I’d rather know that I’m through security and in one.

That's why we did it mate. The taxi drivers will be there in their droves, but I wanted a fella waiting with my name on it, especially as I'm going with my old man and he's a nervous traveller.
