Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

It's absolute bollocks. They've got Brighton ahead of Leicester ffs. If the 16th placed team are ahead of a 5th place team who won a trophy this season, then your methodology is flawed.
It’s not but if you want a results based one, as I’ve already said, try http://clubelo.com/

point is Chelsea are a good team

Yep, agree with all that. It was a gamble. Desperate to come out flying and get the first. But it didn’t work - Chelsea defend with 7 players, decent players. Playing 3 at the back and 4 killing the space in front needs patience, needs a proper CM anchor, just like when we beat Conte’s 3 at the back counter attack team by the odd goal twice in 17/18. But if the gamble had worked and we got that early goal everyone would be talking about genius. Fine margins. But I’m just utterly gutted.
Agree. Normally, when we lose we're the best team by a distance. Tonight we seemed to get in each other's way - no obvious options. Looked disjointed and players seemed unfamiliar with that totally attacking formation.

I don't know anyone who thinks that's our best 11, Fern is in our best 11 even at his age.
To not play a defensive midfielder in the biggest game of the season was shocking, Gundo has been ourstanding this season, but he aint no defensive midfielder.

Fair enough, it was still 10 of our strongest 11 though.

It’s not like the Lyon side he put out which was a complete fuck up.

He didn’t look like doing anything other than what he always does i.e. fucking up one on ones, tripping over the ball and running down dead ends…
He did OK for me. I thought he, KDB and FOden linked well.

The problem was we were widen open to counter-attacks and with the say CFC were set up we had to score first.
