Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Chelsea players set the tone from the first minute. Their supporters didn’t stop singing for most of the game because of how pumped up their players were. We barely heard anything from the City fans all night, but I think that due to our performance. I didn’t go last night as I was unlucky not get a ticket, but our support was a bit poor last night compared to Chelsea’s.
Bollocks and if you were there you’d agree.

We go again next season. Whatever said and done, I am proud of everyone at the club for this season. Yesterday hurt a lot, but we cannot define a team over a basis of 90 minutes. Reading a few comments on here and you would think we finished outside the European places in the league. 24 hours on and every player and staff is being questioned. We are one of the best teams in the world. We lost to a better team on the night. Let no one talk you down on what the club has achieved this season. Lets see which team can go as deep in all 4 competitions in any season as we did. We have a young team, which will only hit its peak after a few years. Txiki, Pep and the squad were 90 minutes from being the best thing ever and suddenly people are calling them out. We fucked up, but its definitely not doom and gloom.

Still gutted and angry.

Pep I love you, but what the ****?

I get the idea that Tuchel would counter "the system" with all that preparation time, but to try what he did here was a massive **** up and left is with no attacking/creative options to come on when we needed a goal.

No DM left us vulnerable and you could see how that played out as we've seen before.

Gundo back to being the 6 was so mind boggling.

I wanted to say "great more attacking" and we saw how Sterling caused problems down the left for Chelsea, but that meant no Foden on the left and some of Sterling's problems showed themselves again.

It also put Mahrez back to what he was when fans were frustrated.

It took the confidence from the players in the system.

This all day:

So angry. So so angry.

We couldnt hear them because the mics were at the chavs end , our support are always loud
We aren’t at all.

We’ve been getting quieter and quieter as a set of fans away from home for years. Thats also true of Wembley semis and finals where we’ve been heading the same way.

You could see our fans weren’t singing much last night never mind not really hear them. But we were well out-noised by Villa Watford and Brighton in recent trips to Wembley n’all.

Slightly off topic on the City front but does anyone else find the infatuation with Kante a little odd? He’s a grown man and so many people act like he’s a little child because he’s humble and smiles. Cracking player though, put in a good shift

So anything other than a CL win is a crappy season?
There's only one Premier League winner, only one Cl winner, one FA Cup winner and one Carabao. Nobody has as much silverware. Two out of four, and someone thinks it was a poor season. Jeez, I've seen some seasons where I have thought "Surely to God, we can score in this game!'
