Yet we're in the final. 3 out of 4 PL titles. He's done well enough I think
Nowhere have I questioned Pep's achievements in the League and the football has (in the main) been a pleasure to watch.
But surely it's not wrong to question his ability in the CL (and, as someone else mentioned in the FA Cup) when poor team selection has quite obviously cost us.

Yes, they deserved it but their last ditch defending on at least 4 occasions I can remember stopped usWe had one meaningful attempt they had plenty.

Everything to do with starting eleven and tactics. Gundogan had his best season further forward and gets played DM in the most important match ?KDB,Mahrez,Gundogan,Foden,Zinchenko and Sterling second half were awful.Nothing to do with tactics.
Perhaps. But had we lost with Dihno or Rodri at DM. With Foden wide left and Gundo in the middle controlling and supporting Kev. I'd have taken my hat off and say Congrats!Sorry, I'm not having that, we've been literally dogshite for over a generation and winning the title even once was something we never could have imagined.
Some of you lot are so entitled it beggars belief. We'll be back here at this stage and we'll win it. It's only a matter of time.

This and only this. Pep keeping his cards close to his chest , what a fucking load of shit that was.This defeat was born with the FA semi final defeat and then the League defeat. If Pep thought he was disguising his hand it failed dismally. Chelsea learnt how to beat Peps system and even if our personnel change they came in confident their system could beat us. Then Pep decided to mix it up with a bizarre move that essentially handed the initiative to Chelsea before a ball was kicked.

As much as Sterling has had a poor season that defeat was not on him. No one played well.I see Sterling turned out his usual pathetic performance. He should NEVER be allowed to put on a city shirt again. Get rid of him after he’s fucked it up for a England at the Euros.

I am so angry now, but was there a CL final in recent times where the losing team created as little as us tonight in terms of forcing saves from keeper? Mendy could have been sitting at a restaurant we still would have not scored as per the chances we had.
Apart from that rubbish Spurs team vs Liverpool. (Who fucking beat us on away goals partly because of Llorrente handball goal but partly because Pep made big mistakes in the first leg not scoring away goal while not sorting the defence for 2nd leg.)
This was meant to be our big year, PL, Carabao, FA Cup, CL, to get kicked out of CL and FA cup by Tuchel, them beating us 3 times in last couple weeks, what a season it could have been. Still a great season overall but CL finals are not guaranteed.
took Chelsea 8 years to return to a CL final. 11 years for Pool, United not in a final since 10 years. Arsenal 15 years.
took us 10 years of trying to try to match the gap to the elite, finally did it but no guarantee of another one.
Its just fucking shit that on the back of the season and how these set of players played together and finally got there and Tuchel comes in takes over a leaky Chelsea side from a clueless Lampard and transforms them in 6 months into a CL winner side.
Is that all it needs to win CL really? 6 months of work? I hope Haaland does not end up at Chelsea now. instead of Werner he would be a beast for them.
