Looks like we've gone for ball retention, rather than defensive cover.

My main worry is that they will find it too easy to play through us. Gundogan isn't the quickest and he isn't going to be able to stop them (unless Bernardo will sit in beside him). I know he's played that role for us before but not this season as far as I can remember. I think the FBs will have to stay back a bit. I suspect we'll miss Gundogan's forward runs too.

Anyway, fingers crossed that he's got it right.

If Rodri was in there, he isn't the quickest.

To all those shitting bricks, please think back to the epic 2018/19 win where Gundogan was the key defensive midfield anchor. And he is playing better now than he was then. In fact, for the longest time, one of the few things this forum agreed on was that Gundogan was a fine #6 but no #8
