Good luck to you but this is exactly why football fans get mugged off because we are prepared to pay the outrageous prices.

€600 for a football match. They can fuck right off and I have only missed about 5 games in the last three seasons when we could go home and away

Interesting perspective, but I actually don’t think it’s outrageous.

I spent (a lot) more getting to and attending the City v QPR title game, and it was worth every penny.

As I said, if a trip and ticket to watch City lift the CL for the first time costs me 1000 Euro, that’s a ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE.

Surely in the top 10 things to happen in my life.

If it goes to extra time then it’s 5 rather than 7 euros a minute. And win pens probably 4.50. Getting cheaper by the minute. Think I will get 2 :-)

my season ticket for 2011 -2012 was £510 in SS 218
I said to everyone i know
the rag derby on the monday night when Vinny scored was worth it on its own
then a few weeks later what happened was priceless

I guess, according to you, ALL football games are equal ? just something that lasts 90 mins ? You don’t see a difference in value between the CL final involving your own team and Burnley v Everton ?

I don’t(can’t) do a season ticket but choose instead to try and attend big games. And I do it all willingly to follow my team. If you think this is being ‘mugged off’ then you’re entitled to your opinion, but I’m guessing you will be in the minority.

The trouble is YOU DON’T GET IT.

My choice AT BEST is a 600 Euro ticket or NO TICKET.

If you were in my situation you would choose NO ticket, as your feelings are stronger against UEFA than FOR CITY ?

I’ll give it a go to explain why I’m prepared to pay it. First off the prices charged are shite. But I have a decent job, I foster two kids and my wife loves City too. Outside of the family I only have two passions, travel and football (City). I’m 51, wife 53, who knows if we’ll ever get to another CL final? If I’m going to travel to Porto and attend the game I’d like to be able to have a decent seat and see the game. We sacrifice nights out, expensive clothes blah blah and spend it on trips and City. This combines both. Oh and our flights were both £120 as we took a punt 10 days ago on Porto so saved a bit there. You are a long time dead and there’s no pockets in shrouds.
