The problem is that teams at the level of Tottenham and Liverpool cannot attract those star players. Liverpool use to be a shoe in for the Champions League knockout rounds now look at them.
They could of done a lot better recruiting in the summer. They have followed Spurs in blindly wasting money and will have one hell of a job in shifting their players.
I think Spurs and Liverpool have shown now that if you get so much money for One player then you have to invest a huge amount of that in 1 big player.
Liverpool should have gone for Sanchez straight away and then brought in players to support him.
