I know it's small minded but the sheer fucking relief at the mighty Liverpool FC being shown to be not so impregnable is unbelievable for me. And at full time last night you could go on any forum — even the forums of ‘small’ clubs (I dislike that kind of hierarchisation, it was used against us by gobshites like Ferguson, so we should know better) — and there were celebrations going on up and down the country. I seriously wonder if the BBC, Sky, BT Sport et al know how this rabid, constant, rah-rah cheerleading for LFC by former dipper players makes all of us who aren't fans of the cult want to throw up.

So… little old City flying the flag for the time being in the CL for the entire country, eh? (I'm assuming Chelsea are going out). Oh the irony. Will the whole media get behind us the way they got behind Dipperpool? Will they fuck!

There's some Barney Ronay bollocks in the Guardian about the dippers defeat, it's pure garbage, but I loved this in the comments section....

The Atleti team probably watched Robertson's hilarious interview after the first leg. Watching a poorly shaved Scottish midget act the big yin was probably all the motivation they needed.

Let's not forget amongst all Klopp's bluster about style of play that Liverpool didn't have a shot on target in the first leg, and that Atleti scored three last night, and truly put Liverpool back in their box.
