Champions League Games 13/14 April

We will need to stop their quick brake, this worries me, they looked better than Spurs rags and Leeds not to mention Leicester, I.e. the 4 teams games we have lost all play this game.
Just hope they are as useless as we have been at taking chances.
Pep needs to work out how to stop these teams, high energy press is the answer for me, we’re great at this when it’s deployed.
Got to stop the first out ball whenever they gain possession especially when we lose the ball when forcing the game.
Our midfield is too slow to stop their quick break. It would just be a case of hoping our defence deal with it by the time they reach our box.

They’re the exact sort of team that will highlight one of our two biggest deficiencies (slow in midfield and our poor finishing).

Have to say Neymar's overall play seems to have matured quite abit. There's slightly less 'over-dribbling' and is little more simplified, he's focusing more his positioning and playing the final ball.

Mbappe is a dangerous player but for me, Neymar is the actual key in their team.

Spit the Dog going on about "Historic clubs" again, is there no end to the bile idiots like him cough up?

Home first, you get an extra 30 minutes to score away goals in the second leg if you need to (it’s a ridiculous rule that I think should be scrapped because it’s unfair, but while it’s in place still we should get the best out of it).
Agreed.

Neymar is a wonderful talent, and a joy to watch. It's a shame that he never came to the Prem

For the most part we actually have sussed that quick counter attack this season.

Hard to count the weekend v Leeds and early Leicester home game as we didn’t have our proper team out there. But generally teams that would want to counter us haven’t been able to successfully (United away x2, Liverpool x2, West Ham, Wolves, Monchengladbach etc). The big danger is when we concede first early, chasing the game we get more and more open to the counter like v United a few weeks ago.
