I was looking for the line ups, will try it for us tomorrow.

How are those frauds 5 points ahead of us in PL? They’re getting the parked bus treatment usually reserved for us.

I know a lot of folks aren't, but I'm a bit of an xG nerd.

Chelsea are massively overachieving in both goals scored and conceded by xG. This suggests any of:

1) They are more clinical than average.
2) There opponents are less clinical than average when playing them.
3) Their keeper is better than average in shotstopping.
4) Other keepers are below average in shotstopping against them.

I found a post somewhere that dived into the stats deeper and found that all 4 of the above were true. It's likely they'll go on a dip at some point, but the risk is a 16/17 scenario (when they also overachieved) where they've ground out enough wins and a big enough points lead for it not to matter.

Of course there are other factors that may explain it, but usually in the long term xG is reliable.

Really hope they finish 2nd in their group and get a difficult opponent in the knock out stage, maybe Bayern ? Hate to see them progress to another final , would also hate to have to play vs them again

We were not that good against Burnley either. Three poor PL performances at home in a row.

Thats ok, none of us can forget that moment. Still, Pep can make it up for it by having us win it before he leaves!
