Jesus is young and full of energy and is a clever footballer I think in general he has done well for us. However, he is not anyway near as good as Ronaldo at putting the ball in the net. Messi and Ronaldo in their prime are unlikely to have saved the rags against Liverpool or Leicester so shite was the defending and midfield play.Imagine this scenario Jesus sitting up front waiting for tap ins and passes to score , not tracking , pressing , not running back. As I told before - he made the next step at Bayern after a somewhat "harder" time to adjust. His offensive numbers especially in the Champions League with 4 goals and 4 assists after 4 matches are great - in the Bundesliga it is just 3 and 3 but his performances there were great, too - just sometimes a little bit unlucky with his shots. Bayern actually has better numbers offensively and defensively in the CL than in the "farmers league"... It is not really that "magical" to answer why as for the most teams in Germany that match is the one match for which they can get "celebrated" most from the fans (who then forget everything bad in other matches and if it does not work it was Bayern) - and the motivation of the players is understandably less high in Bundesliga matches as it is in CL matches. And you get to play teams in the CL that usually are the top dogs in their countries and therefore actually have a pretty offensive way of playing and leave holes like this.Magnificent goal from Leroy.
