A bit of a generalisation here but there seems to be a weird mentality difference between the two sets of fans.

Feel like I see a lot of pessimism from City fans, and City pundits talking about a horrible fun of fixtures etc.
Yet comments from Liverpool fans seem to be full of confidence and just expect to beat us.

They've only been us once in 8 attempts in the last 3 and a bit years. I see no reason we don't continue our recent good record against them.

Liverpool fans always have been gobshites, particularly the plastic ones you find in places like Chesterfield/Grimsby/Preston, cunts that never go to games. You don’t really come across many City fans that are full of themselves, not the old timers anyway.

You're a proper Blue mate. I think most of the old timers think the same. We still expect the worst. Even when we were battering the Rags at home I still expected them to score. I fully expect to get beat on Sunday and in the FA Cup semi final.........no matter how good we are, I still expect it. However, what I will say is that I think I enjoy the winning even more. I think.....

We’re fucking brilliant, I know how good we are. It’s more due to the fact I can’t bare the thought of losing out on the league and them denying us our first champions league. I was broken for about 2 months after Chelsea beat us in Porto and we were still champions of England. There’s just to much riding on these games for it to not play on your mind. Losing out on the title or champions league final to either Liverpool or United is not worth thinking about!
