Champions League Games 7/8 May

Content ourselves, Blues... No away goals next season in Champs League :)

Should suit us down to the ground.
Maybe.
But last season after we were robbed against the dippers when VAR would have worked three times in our favour ( Salah goal offside in the build up, Jesus goal chalked off incorrectly and Sane goal ruled out wrongly) we reckoned VAR would help us in this year's competition.
But it didn't.

Someone tweet the fucker yeah like you stuck your fist in urika’s face you cowardly cnut ..

You don't even have to mention the Ulrika event, the twat consistently goes on about oil money, and should just look closer to the teams he supports, Wolves and Liverpool both with foreign finance, and in his playing days, did he every wonder who financed the huge fees paid for him and the wages paid, he's an attention seeking twat, ignore him and he'll go anyway

Spurs lost 5 games, liverpool 4, city just the 2 in the competition. Guess which one of those is not in the final. I will keep saying anyone who thinks getting to the final or winning the champions league is a true barometer of a team or manager's quality might aswel take a different sport. A team can have the most flawless competition beating every team yet a terrible referee decision or mistake in just a single game on a given day will mean they are out. There have been so many instances of such happening or a team lucking their way to a final or a win that I find it baffling the amount of stock is put in the competition. Don't get me wrong it puts out great entertainment and its fun seeing your team test themselves against some of the best in europe but most managers will tell you winning back to back leagues is far superior to any champions league win.

As for the final I always fancied spurs more than ajax in the final as long as son and moura start, that liverpool team have shown already in the competition that they can be got at and spurs were more than unlucky not to take anything at their place.
A quick look at RAWK - and they are gutted that Spurs got through

Funny how the media proclaimed greatest comeback ever only retained that status for 24 hours. 3 goals away in 45 minutes trumps 4 goals at home in 90 in my opinion! Dippers had their chips well and truly pissed on. Ha.

I think over the last 2 ties Spurs were second best but "found a way" to win.

City outplayed Spurs over 2 legs because even in their home game neither team deserved to win the game on chances created and possession was fairly even with City edging it. They edged the first half against a conservative City. Second half was City's and they scored against the run of play. At the Etihad there is no doubt who the better team was. Without that mistake from Laporte at 1-0 up, the complexion of the game was looking like a straight forward win to me and that Llorrente hand ball wouldn't have mattered.

That's cup football for you though I suppose, the better team doesn't always get what they deserve.
