The honest answer is no. Madrid’s young midfielders, Camavinga Tchou Valverde Bellingham are very physical, box-to-box, can run all match long, but none of them knows how to set up tempo or control the match. Only 2 guys can, Modric and Ceballos, the latter is injured.

Routing for Inter now, their fans were dead good in Istanbul, didn't see any trouble at all. Rode the underground to the match with a bunch of em and they were all cool. They get my vote this year.

Don't forget when they tout the usual 'No team has ever..' stat that was back when they had the away goals rule in effect. Any away goal used to kill a tie and any potential 2nd leg comeback dead.

Now Madrid just have to make up a 3 goal aggregate deficit within 90 minutes.

All the same for me, even their 'ultras' in Istanbul were fine. Really liked their 1970 Italy World Cup players Mazzola and Boninsegna (but not nearly as much as King Colin for England !!) These days Martinez reminds me of Sergio

Same here...after seeing the Istanbul bus car park debacle after the match, a couple of us decided to 'chance it' & take the metro back into town with a slight fear in bumping into some disgruntled Inter fans.

Couldn't be further from the truth, the Inter fans we bumped into the metro were sound & a few even congratulated us stating the best team won on the night.
 
Brilliant result for Arsenal. It’s going to be a tough second leg but Saka and Martinelli can hurt them and I think they’ll finish the job at their place. If they don’t, the rest of them might as well give up because their name will be on the cup again.

Arsenal deserved the victory and could have gone to Madrid 6-0 up!

More importantly, that result guarantees Top 5 in Premier League in the CL next season!
 
Delighted to see Real Madrid get humbled again, hopefully Arsenal finish the job. They'll be playing against Madrid and the officials in the away leg.

Then after they finish off Madrid, I hope Arsenal get dealt with in the next round.
 
Arsenal are through, taking nothing away from them but this RM side is a really poor one.
Absolutely no chance they overturn it in the 2nd leg

Villa fans are scum..me and my good lady got on the tube at harrow full of them.She was called a blue slag i told them to shut the fuck up and thats when the fun started.Luckily when i put one on the floor the more sensible ones put a stop to it.Im no hooligan we are both in our late 50s.All we saw b4 and after was villa fans causing bother.They are up there with the scousers for me.
