Champions League Games | Quarter-Finals | 8/9/15/16 April '25

Don't know if it's mainly Vini being shocking, but Timber was fucking good.

Basmati is worth the £100m. Odegaard on the other hand... but it doesn't matter.

And unless something crazy happens, Arsenal will go into the final. That PSG midfield has no chance, especially with the second leg at Emirates. They damn near crumbled yesterday and fortunate to survive.

Arteta's setup might not be good enough to win the league (yet), but in Europe, that's pretty much the blueprint.
Second leg is in Paris isn’t it?

Why are the semi finals played on the same day? Don't they usually play those Tuesday and Wednesday?

Edit: That's how it's listed on my usual football website, but I see on the wiki it's set as 29th and 30th April
They haven’t decided which game is on which day yet but there is a Tues/Weds game on both weeks.

Fair play to Arsenal, a mature performance all things considered. Fuck knows why Madrid spent the game lumping the ball into the box of one of Europe's most organized defensive units. Shows how poor we have been to make that Madrid side look decent, they're full of players playing for themselves at the moment.

agree-they are supposed buying thr liverpool fullback who cant defend instead of finding a solid player who is less known but more able-as much about social media as performance
"Trent was born to play for Madrid" and he's run his contract down too...(Jimmy Milner had a word before he retired to the coast.)

Last thing they need is another attacker and one who plays in defence. They’ll lose Modric’s influence in the dressing room as well in the summer.

They had a decent balance previously but they’re starting to tip the scales similar to the whole galactico era back then.
Their main midfielders are basically just box to box, roadrunners type. It’s pretty funny that they hyped up the return of Ceballos of all people for the second leg, because he’s the only one (beside Modric) that can control tempo.

I think they’d start looking for those types of midfielders soon, as a matter of fact they tried tapping up Rodri last year, didn’t they?

Think they'll be trying to sign "Egg Fried" Rice after the last 2 games...

Brilliant from the gunners tonight. Just wish we could’ve gone there more often with a mature and confident attitude like they did tonight. They now can go on and win it even without recognition striker.

I bet Arsenal would swap their record at Madrid with our record any day of the week. Very good performance against a poor Madrid side, but let's not get too self-flagellating about it.

We've never gone there with a 3 goal lead to defend.
