Champions League Group Stage

Bring it on. Real Madrid - City - Gladbach - Besiktas*

If Nasri goes to Besiktas on loan, are there stipulations whether he can play against the parent club?

This is my favourite day of the year by far.

Order of preference
Pot 1 - Benfica, CSKA, Bayern, Juve, Real, Barca, PSG
Pot 3 - Bruges, Basel, PSV, Lyon, Sporting, Mönchengladbach, Kyiv
Pot 4 - Warsaw, Monaco, Ludogorets, Zagreb, Besiktas, Rostov, København, Celtic

On ITV Hamaan just said Chelsea have a chance with new manager Conte.

Must have had a few!

I thought that I was heard him wrong - what a knob!

Benfica, Brugges and Celtic would be a great draw. The away leg travela would be minimal for the team and I would love to see us put Celtic/Brenda to the sword.

In reply to tenentenen yes Nasri can play against his parent club it happened last season when Conan form Bayern played against Juventus in the 1/4 finials of the Champions League. Dose anybody out there think that we will end up with a another group of death. I think it is about time that we will end up with a easier group than we have had in the last 4yrs. So for me the ideal group would be,
From pot 1- Cska Moscow, from pot-3 Basel/Bruges and from pot 4 Warsaw/Kobenhaven would be the ideal group for me.

I would like to mention but did any fans notice how the Steaua player and their goalie brought to the ref's attention that Kelchi was badly injured and that they both went to help him until the doctor came onto the pitch to treat him. Now that is true sportsmanship , and their goalie even clapped Kelchi of the pitch, so glad that that happened and is show that there are still some sportsman around.

Indeed spotted that, had a good crack with some of their fans yesterday too so they seem a good bunch. Hope they do well in the Europa League.

Pot 1 - Benfica would be a new team, CSKA are beatable but we've played them a couple of seasons, Bayern we've played too often and the same applies to Juve, Real and Barca. PSG didn't cause us too much hassle last season and I enjoyed my trip to Paris.

Pot 3 - Bruges, PSV, Basel and Lyon would be new teams and Bruges and PSV are driveable, as is Mönchengladbach which we did last season. Kyiv and Sporting hold no interest.

Pot 4 - Warsaw, Monaco, Ludogorets, Zagreb, Besiktas and Rostov would be new teams. København we've played before and Celtic would be easiest to get to but might turn on their once a season good European performance if an English club is in town.
