The sad part is it didn’t need to be. If he had kept his ego in check, actually put in the work to improve, act as a team player instead of a “me” player, and accept he isn’t a 10, he would actually be consistently good and impactful.

it wasn’t even a whole season, just first half. he was meh in the second half.

100% he was playing as a striker for a lot of games. His numbers aren't good enough for that role though and in midfield he is just isn't top quality enough for madrid
