There’s a lot of things that make the Champions League a shit competition, but Borussia Dortmund being in the final isn’t one of them. They’ve earned their place while ourselves, PSG, Atletico, Barcelona and Inter Milan haven’t.

Would be great if they could do it. For one thing, the fact that Bellingham needed to go to Real to actually get to a CL final and loose it to them, would be a great experience for him.
But for a team with relatively no money to win it, would prove you don't need billions to do it.

Glad Dortmund won - but dear oh dear - it does rather confirm that PSG play in a league with no competition.
If you only meet tough opposition in a 2 legged game once a season I'm afraid you aren't going to win that competition that frequently.

NGL I am still hacked off we went out, felt strangely empty these last two midweek. Competition was there for the taking this year.

It's also giving me headspace I don't want fretting about the PL....

I want Dortmund to win, said it as soon as we were eliminated.

We know if Real do it again, Bellingham is a shoe in for the Balloon Door. And he isn't the best player in Europe.

They do - the group winners play a runners up, you can't help it if a "bigger" club fecks up their group.
Worse still you can't help a "bigger" club finishing 4th in their league and ending up in a tricky group.
What you're suggesting is cherry picking ties for certain clubs - we're part way there anyway based on clubs from the same association not playing one another until the QF.
It's a knock out competition - fuck any sort of seeding/draw manipulation

Seeded properly, we would not have faced Real until the final. ie top half and bottom half as per tennis comps. No cherry picking, just ensuring no lop sided draws.

People questioned our record in the champions league but nobody seems to talk about the obscene amounts of money PSG have spent to get basically nowhere in that competition.
