I disagree with WandV.Paredes seems like a really interesting midfielder but I've seen too little of him. He takes fewer risks than Verratti I gather? I mean lol, lots of players take fewer risks than lil' Marco does but I'm interested in a PSG fan's take on it
A fit Verratti is far above our other options in midfield. The question for me is if he will be ready to face the physicality of the opponent on Sunday.
Paredes plays like a quarterback in US football. He doesn't move a lot and he makes passes and has a good mental. He is vicious like old Thiago Motta but he doesn't have the same positionning or even the volume of play and he makes reckless tackles.
He is pretty much the only technical option in midfield when Verratti is injured but Verratti is so much stronger in pretty much anything.
