No injuries is about the only thing I can come up with. And possibly a defeat. We don't want Chelsea going to Liverpool thinking they can afford to prioritise the Champions League

We need a 3 or 4 nil for Atletico. totally knock chelsea out of this tonight so come sunday they wont rest anyone !!

I really have no idea what the best outcome for tonight is, all proposed ideas have merit. 4-0 Atletico would mean as good as no CL, but players can have downers after big defeats. A strong away win could give them confidence to go and get something at Anfield, or they could sack the league off and put all their eggs in the CL.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Courtois have an absolute stinker tonight after how much it's cost him to play though.

Don't forget that Atletico may also be more focused on the league.

Wow, Mourinho has gone very defensive there with Mikel, Luiz, Lampard and Ramires in midfield.
