I really have no idea what the best outcome for tonight is, all proposed ideas have merit. 4-0 Atletico would mean as good as no CL, but players can have downers after big defeats. A strong away win could give them confidence to go and get something at Anfield, or they could sack the league off and put all their eggs in the CL.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Courtois have an absolute stinker tonight after how much it's cost him to play though.

Don't forget that Atletico may also be more focused on the league.

Atletico haven't paid a penny for him to play tonight, UEFA completely ruled out that supposed clause in his loan contract and if he saves Atletico over the two games Chelsea will just have to take it on the chin.
