Hopefully Sunderland with rhe playoffs

though anyone but middlebrough will do
Don't mind Sunderland, decent fans on the whole. Don't really have any strong feelings about Cov, not the most exciting place, though have had some decent piss ups watching us there (last one was a 3:2 win in early 90s).
Really can't be doing with the 'smog monsters , especially as we seem to have had some really dodgy results against them. Luton maybe even less so, I was at Maine Road for 'that's game in 83 and they also had a horrible, smug chairman who was also a Tory MP I seem to remember (David Evans?)

Hope Sunderland come up, but think Boro will do it.

Luton is a horrible away trip. Been twice, and although it was in the bad old days, I can imagine it being just as inhospitable now.

Went to Highfield Rd a number of times, but heard the new stadium is a bit of a distance out of the city.

London Met breath a sigh of relief

They'll potentially have between 60,000 and 70,000 Boro, Newcastle and Sunderland fans in London for the play-off weekend as Newcastle are away to Chelsea. I can imagine carnage all down the A1, M1 and London itself if that happens.

As the poll asks who you think will come up, I opted for Boro. But I hope not - have no love for the smoggies at all.

I suppose they'd be a slightly preferable option compared with Luton. The fact that there are people on this thread who don't seem to mind them coming up simply suggests there's a fairly easy way to spot which posters are too young to recall 1983.

Surely anyone who does remember that **** Pleat cavorting across our pitch after relegating us can feel nothing but revulsion at the thought of that club back in the top flight? Forgive and forget? No fucking chance, though I'd have just about preferred them to the Bermondsey scum had they stayed in the mix after yesterday.

Coventry inspire no strong feelings in me one way or the other, so would be a better option than the above two. But the Mackems are the ones I'd welcome most by far, for all the same reasons as most others posting in the thread.

Sunderland started excellently and the atmosphere is top level!
