Championship Thread - 2023/24

Calling @West Yorks Owl; big win today for you, down in that there Landan tahn.

Didn't expect that m8. Top & bottom tighter than a Yorkshireman at the bar :)

Our win is just the icing on the cake as the lad passed his driving test this morning and I've been smiling at that all day (I know it doesn't sound much as it happens to loads of people every day, but for him it's a big thing and adds big positives to his life)

2 tough games now at home to Norwich & Stoke but if we could just get out of the bottom 3 even for a few days it puts pressure on others.

:)

@West Yorks Owl

You'd have took that with 15 minutes left!

M8 I think a robbery has taken place, 4-0 at HT wouldn't have flattered them. We made 4 subs which says "I got the team wrong" 2nd half we were a lot better but that wasn't hard. 1st half we were awful.

Sargent is far too good for this level.

If I was travelling back to Norfolk tonight I'd be absolutely fuming, they've got PNE away on Saturday, those 2 dropped points could be costly to where they finish in the playoffs.

This makes Kalvin Philipps look like a bargain.
Almost £25m for less than an hours work

"Leeds United have been ordered to pay their former player Jean-Kevin Augustin a staggering £24.5million after being found to have breached his contract.

The club have appealed the decision, which was made by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber, in what is the latest twist in the long-running saga surrounding the French forward, who played just 48 minutes for the Whites.
Leeds signed Augustin on loan from RB Leipzig in January 2020, with an obligation to buy for £18m if they won promotion to the Premier League that season, which they achieved.

Following that ruling, Augustin – who now plays for Swiss side Basel - took his own case against Leeds to FIFA, who have found partially in his favour."

The £24.5m fee the Whites have been told to pay is understood to represent the player's full five-year contract on wages of around £80,000 a week"

The bottom of the championship is mad.

From QPR in 16th to Brum in 23rd there's just 5pts separating them, it looks like the last day could go down to the wire and some. Same can be said about the the top 3, nobody wants to win it at the minute as they are all dropping points.

Going to be top viewing for the neutrals.

Tesco bags getting lots of help… outrageous penalty decision around 30 seconds in!! How was this in the area??!!!

Terrible decision, looks like it hits his face rather than the hand too.

When your luck is out, it's out.

Also there is this one from Swansea Vs Stoke, is this the player knocking it out of the keepers hand, or the keeper making a mess?

Keeper making a mess for me - forward didn’t even know where the ball was. Crazy world!!
