And thats exactly what happened. Southampton came to play and we played through them.

When we're in the Prem next season, we need a Maddison replacement for that extra bit of creativity to defeat rigid defences.

Although, I don't think there will be many low blocks in the Prem. Which is a good thing for Enzoball.

Loan us Foden next season and we stay up.
Not many low blocks in the Prem? We see 35 a season!

Feel sorry for you because you’re gonna get wacked with a points deduction next season.

Great result for the Foxes last night, come just at the right time.

Is it one win or one point needed for promotion?

1 win as things stand. But if Ipswich lose tonight then a draw from one of their final two could be enough.

I think that's Leicester up now.

There will be a mixture. Most teams will see you as a chance for points so will attack and that will suit you, but a lot will be more than happy to let you have the ball and then counter, and they'll do it better.

Got to give Enzo Maresca some credit for fixing things and getting Leicester back on track, a few weeks ago they were looking like throwing away a double digit points lead and ending up in the play offs.

@Quilted - what happened to Leicester's form out of interest. Coasting it and what 17pts ahead of 3rd was it at one point? Was there a single moment that led to the decline in form? Looks like you might have just held it together now to go up. Wondering if you're seeing similar problems to what we see with City on occasion where we dominate the ball but lack that bit of directness in the final third at times.

You've taken the words right out my mouth.

Thats exactly what has been happening and what essentially has stopped us from breaking the all-time Championship points record.

I'll quote some of my earlier posts that provide more detail.

I think the original drop of points was due to a number of factors, biggest being complacency and thinking we can walk the ball into the net every game. The in-game complacency and lack of intensity invited opponents to get the better of us solely due to them wanting it more, despite the sheer lack of quality between most of our opponents and us.

A few other factors would be making substitutions too late, while the opponent benefits from their earlier substitutions and Enzo doesn't react quick enough. Then during the time we were dropping points, there wasn't much fight from any of our players. The team frequently plays with too much arrogance and thats costed us multiple times.

So its a mix of tension and energy levels, but the latter isn't seeming to be an issue because we keep possession every game and are never the ones chasing the ball. So it gives us the upper hand, as far as energy levels and stamina is concerned.

Exactly what happened against Millwall
Exactly what happened against Bristol City
Exactly what happened against QPR

All because we're trying to walk the ball into the net, no intensity, so pedestrian.

Our form since mid-February has been an absolute disgrace.

I've been saying this the whole time, we are always surrounding their box with our wingers wide but no one is making runs into the box. We need to be making constant runs into their box instead of mindlessly recycling.

We're almost waiting for the most perfect goal, which is just not going to happen.
