Championship Thread - 2023/24

Sad to see Tony Mowbray sacked. Truly decent bloke who is very good with developing young players particularly.

Championship - half the teams think they will challenge. Sunderland did well for the play offs last season and the expectation has increased.

Hard to break the teams coming down from challenging going straight back up, that’s the reality. The owners of those in the pack seem to forget that fact.

Warnock be back in work soon.

Bit of a headscratcher, I really think he has been great for us.

Having just been promoted from league 1, he took us to the playoffs and we are 9th.
No..we aren't playing well in the last month or so, but sacking feels very harsh.....

Thanks for sharing your views on your club mate. I was hoping he'd be given time to get you up in the next couple of years but I suppose that's an old fashioned, and some might say naive view with impatient owners. All the best anyway, and while I've no real issue with Newcastle, I hope you beat them.

Modern football I'm afraid m8, nobody has any patience any more.

As Brian Laws once said as our manager when on a good run, "you're only ever 6 games from the sack"
