Fell back to sleep and just woke up.
You beautiful Brummies! Well done.
Cov’s best bet is to deliberately flunk promotion. They will be worse than Burnley and Luton in the PL if they come up
I seriously doubt their bank manager would agree. Don't the media generally dub the play off final "the £100m game"* There's been periods recently when they didn't have a pot to piss in. Even if they went straight back down (assuming they get promotion!), they'd qualify for those parachute payments for at least one (?) season**?

Southampton earned nearly £110m last season.....

** Just checked; the parachute payments last for three years....

Stop talking sense. I just want the fuckers where they are or a league below.

Monday night and bad weather not helping the attendance at Leicester. A lot have stayed away going by the tv pictures.

Had issues with the owners so maybe that’s also a factor.

Ridiculous. Good mate of mine is a baggies fan, they’re dominating games but keep getting done by sucker punches.

Unbelievable they’ve lost this tonight. 2 shots on target from Leicester.

Have to say I can’t agree that we have been dominating games but losing.
With very few exceptions like last nights game at Leicester where we were very unlucky to lose, we have been bloody awful for months.
I feel a little sorry for Ryan Mason as this was his first time as a Manager, but it has been obvious for a while that he is out of his depth & just doesn’t have the experience with players at this (poor) level to be able to turn things around.
We are most certainly in a relegation fight. Our form is dreadful & after equalling a 100 year old record of 10 straight away defeats, it would have been more of a surprise if the club had not sacked him.
As always with the Baggies, turmoil is never far away, so it will be interesting to see just what the owner does now. The next poor sod who gets the Managers job will be taking over a club that is all over the place & will somehow have to turn around a team that can’t keep a clean sheet & can barely score a goal. Add in the low quality players & it will take some doing.

I like that you took a chance on Mason after a few 'obvious' appointments. I just hope you don't fall back into the Mowbray trap again, though I doubt it after last time.

Issue is, you have to find somebody you can trust has the experience to get you out of a relegation fight (though I think you'll be fine, there's much worse teams than you in the league IMO) but also have long-term succession planning after this season. A tough task.

Carrick maybe? Somebody with league experience but still good potential to get even better.

I've seen Carsley linked which would be a good appointment but maybe too much of a risk to go from national to club level at such a pivotal time in the season.
