The draw just could not have been better for us, a strong group and a chance to show that we have improved on previous seasons. Bring it on - I for one have no fears whatsoever.

We were automatically put in Group E, as we somehow couldn't play the same day as Arsenal. Only the same day as Chelsea. There are four English teams, so logically the TV companies are going to want 2 in one half of the draw and two in the other half so that the games are split evenly on tuesdays and wednesdays. It might have been easier for us if Arsenal hadn't qualfied.

To be hyper-technical about it the Germans actually got as close to Moscow as..... not too far from where the Arena Khimki is located today. They still have a monument right in that area to commemorate the spot.
Napoleon took Moscow. And so will City this year for the second year running!

What I dont understand is how were all relieved/happy when we get an easy draw in the Fa Cup / Carling Cup yet when its a horrible Champions League we give it the old 'Oh well lets be excited to play the best teams'.. fuck that its no different to domestic cups we want to maximise our chances of winning it.
