Chance to applaud Mancini

We should retire the no.94 shirt in commemoration to the number of people,at the last count,he managed to antagonise........

SAMIR NASRI admits he is “sad” Roberto Mancini was axed by Manchester City.

The French ace, 25, was publicily criticised by his former boss earlier this season after a string of poor displays.

But Nasri, who was bought by Mancini from Arsenal in August 2011, said: “I feel sad, but I’m professional and I know how football works.

“I was at Marseille and had four coaches in four seasons. Changing coaches is nothing new.

“He brought me to Manchester City. I don’t want to speak about his departure because I don’t know the ins and outs of the story.

“I don’t know who’s coming in so there’s no point talking about it.”

Nasri has vowed to improve his own performances next season under Mancini’s successor — likely to be ex-Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini.

And he remains confident City will bounce back from this term’s disappointment and wrestle back the Premier League crown.

Nasri added: “I had a delicate start to the season.

“I’ve picked up in the last two to three months and now I feel better. I’ve strung together some good performances.

“Unfortunately, there was the disappointment of the FA Cup final. We’ll try to bounce back.

“We have to forget this season. We had great ambitions at the start of the campaign, and we’re a little disappointed at the end.”

I am not liking the insistence, bordering on bitterness, from some who seem to want Mancini forgotten about immediately as if the man did some kind of harm to the club.

However, I am confident that this is not attitude that will be reflected at the match on Sunday. The dislike of Mancini is a minority view amongst fans and rightly so! I would guess that even fewer of that minority actually attend matches.

Mancini was the weakest link in the clubhouse.

Substandard coach
with substandard knowledge
and substandard social skills.

Fistfight with Balotelli, fight with Tevez, fight with Dzeko, fight with pretty much everyone.

City's worst mistake = Mancini.

Without him we'd be champions this year and we'd have the FA cup.

Not for my benefit by the way, as I've said in other posts I'm not really that bothered.

Just thought it'd go some way to appeasing the ones that are upset, need to mourn and get closure on the whole thing.

Have I stumbled into RAWK?

A millionaire with a hairdo and an attitude has left a football (it's a game) club to pop off somewhere and make millions more in the bread and circus world of the 21st century.

Talk about "first world problems".
