Chappy

Can we all cut out the personal shit and the Bobby/Manuel woman fest from this thread?

I'm sure no-one will want a short ban for this weekend.

Agreed.

Roll on 3pm tomorrow.

I'm not here to referee snidey comments about other posters or managers, either present or past

Some seem to think its ok not to heed the gentle warning, and I'm just not in the mood, so the ban hammer has been dusted down.

Once Chappy, Lescott and Richards are all 'moved on', watch how much more professional our club will become.

In the foreword to Andy Morrison's book Joe Royle mentions that it was Chappy who told him that Andy was having problems at Huddersfield and was likely to be available and affordable.

So without Chappy and his insider links we wold not have signed Andy Morrison and this could have lead to us becoming stuck in the lower divisions for a lot longer.

It is easy to see how Chappy and Mancini would not have got along but both important guys in our recent history.

Andy's book is available at the link below and is a good read.

Regardless of his comments about the previous manager he's been a good servant to the club so on that basis I wish him well and hope he enjoys his retirement.

Wonder if he'll bring a book out?

Good luck to Chappy. Always seems to boost morale in the dressing room and bleeds blue blood. All the best!

The video on the OS said Friday was his last day at Carrington. It indicated he was moving on to other duties at the club. Anyone know what?
