Charlie Kirk shot dead at Utah university

There are some people who were they to die I'd celebrate with a seriously good glass of wine. Benjamin Netanyahu being top of the list.
I don't think anyone on here is suggesting that Mr Kirk was in that category and deserving of execution. On the other hand like a lot of religious people he held some pretty unpleasant beliefs. Whilst Christ seemed a decent bloke many of his followers are homophobic, ultra nationalist, extremely right wing and so on.
I think the world took a wrong step with monotheism and the cultures it spawned.

The more interesting question to me is, for example, there was a poster yesterday on a removed thread trying to stir up racial tension over the Ukrainian girl murdered on the train.

I see that poster nowhere near this thread, but not one person I've seen on ANY social commentary has made out this could be a racial assassination, that's in the high extremes of a White killer to be sought.

As for the guy that had a 'pop' at Trump, his ID was erased within 48 hrs with nothing to be found on him and media, collectively, stopped talking about the "attempt" two weeks later, including Trump himself!

Now, it's like it never happened. Strange, non?

When you claim that the other side is evil and that you are on the side for goodness and forgiveness and that for someone to have views that you don't agree with is OK to be murdered then it's pretty shocking mate.

Murdering someone for their political views is obscene we both agree with that, but the same people who push inclusivity and kindness are far from that, bunch of deranged cunts.

I don't, particularly, like 'liberals' (I don't ever trust them), but do you not think as each President of late has gone to oneupmanship in behaviour and rhetoric? I feel that's reflected in the media of that time and echoed through social media.

Ha! One of the referees on Hawkins PHD said his paper was complete nonsense and questioned his intelligence. That referee said that if the Big Bang had occurred, there would be some left over heat in the universe and obviously it didn’t exist. A few years later two American physicists won the Nobel prize for discovering and identifying that heat.

I wouldn't recommend the Charlie Kirk thread, then. If you suggest killing him was unjustified, you are a far right extremist according to most. Although I suspect there is a silent majority who just refuses to engage with this sort of radical crowd.

I agree with most of that, but you're not addressing those that push divisive commentary and blame for the current state of the Western country the problems lie in.

Division is an agenda for distraction to take your eye off what the real issue is.

I don't think Biden put a single coherent sentence together and his presidency was a sham, politics is in the toilet and specially American politics (Ours isn't too far behind), however I draw the line at murder.

Some fucknut will think it's one sides fault when it isn't it's both extremes working in tandem, the right wing and left wing should sort their extremes out.

My Mormon Uncle had 7. Including a Magnum in his bedside drawer. For protection apparently. Ignore the fact that at the time he was 80 and slept attached to oxygen via a mask. Could barely pick his nose in under a minute let alone reach for a gun.

I don’t do X, et al, so haven’t really heard of Kirk, or his views. Following his death, I had a look around and it looks like he was a very intelligent bloke who realised a gap in the market where political types were missing out on influencing the young, grooming some may say.

Made an absolute fortune from it, and listening to a young follower this morning on the radio, where he couldn’t wait to mention how Kirk had turned it into a ‘multi-100 million dollar’ business, it’s quite easy to see why people go down this line.

They’ve monetised it so much, they’re now part of the establishment.

Didn't realise that thread had gone. Sad as it was, if she wasn't pretty and Ukrainian I doubt it would've got more than local coverage.
I do think it's strange nothing further has been heard about the trump shooter, but tbf I've not even done a cursory search and had forgotten it until now. Troubling times.

*edit* there is loads online about the trump shooter including a comprehensive wiki page. Says motive unknown, but I suppose if legal process is ongoing some things may be undisclosed.
