Ched Evans - serious injury

Because he has just been on trial for rape, so it isnt outrageous to mention that he is not guilty of rape, I didnt pluck it out of thin air to describe the way he behaved.

No but you seemed to imply that even if he didn't do it, he was kind of asking to be convicted anyway. If that wasn't your intention then fair enough, we'll leave it at that.

Anyway, on separate note and this isn't aimed at you, I see it took the jury just 3 hours to unanimously acquit him. I've maintained since day one that I felt this conviction was unsafe, as have many others on here, and it's resulted in accusations of misogyny and apologists for rape in some quarters which was bang out of order.

Fair play to him. There were many on here castigating him for showing no remorse and telling him to just get on with it.

Huge shame he's lost the best years of his career. Hopefully a decent sized club will come in for him now the baying mob have shut the fuck up for ten minutes.

Chesterfield's top scorer, before the trial anyway.

Loss of earnings will be based on what he was on before the original trial.

A 23 year old coming off of 35 goals in 42 games I think its fair to say he would have been signed by a Championship at minimum, so I wonder if they can now prove that a higher contract was in the offing.

Where's Ealing these days? I seem to remember him saying that even if he didn't do it he shouldn't be attempting to clear his name and should just accept his punishment.

If it wasn't for Ched's header and penalty we may not be the club we are today. He was the best penalty taker I saw at CIty, seemed to pick the square in the netting he wanted to hit.

Those are the rules, same if you are on the dole at the time with the potential to secure a £100k job.

That lunatic also said that he would rather have some innocent men go to prison if that lowers the chance of something ever happening to his daughter.
