Cheered me up no end .

Another friend, when working in South Africa, drove into the Kruger NP. At one of the entrances, the reserve staff told him not to get out of his car, even if it broke down. Patrols were always about and they'd find him quickly if he did
They also said that a couple of weeks earlier a couple of German tourists decided to get out of their car to get closer to some wildlife to get better pictures
What they didn't see were the lions!
That's the Kruger NP policy. You stay in your vehicle, because you are on your own. There are no end of people that have had problems because they ignored that advice.

Game parks are different. Rangers escort you, so you can walk through the bush to see the animals close at hand, and we never had a problem. We walked within 25 yards or so of a pair of Cheetahs, a similar distance from a pack of wild dogs, and had other close encounters that will stay with me for life.

The rangers looked after us, never placed us in any danger, and I have nothing but praise for the professional way they safely guided us.

I need to add that they were Chelsea supporting elephants.

Reminds me of an elephant joke.

How many elephants can you get in a mini?
4. 2 in the front and 2 in the back.

How do you know when an elephant has been in your fridge?
There's a footprint in the bowl of custard.

How do you know when 2 elephants has been in your fridge?
There's 2 footprints in the bowl of custard.

How do you know when 3 elephants has been in your fridge?
There's 3 footprints in the bowl of custard.

How do you know when 4 elephants has been in your fridge?

There's a mini parked outside.

i hope it was a slow, agonising, tortous end for the scummy bastard. .

fair cheered me up to.

When I was 9 we lived in Malawi, we went to the local game park, mum, dad, 6 year old brother and my baby sister. In a 4x4 which had a reserve tank of fuel mid afternoon driving round my dad switched to the reserve tank, unfortunately the guy who’s van it was hadnt filled the fucker up. We got stranded overnight in this pick up truck in the middle of the park. Baby sister shitting everywhere, my brother throwing up as he hadn’t eaten something dodgy. No fucker came for us, in the morning my dad made the decision to walk back to a lodge about 3/4 miles away, good job the lions were the other side of the park apparently, he had to get past elephants etc to get there! Park staff got a bollocking as you sign in and out and they didn’t check and should’ve come looking for us.
