Chelsea (a) post match thread

Gotta laugh at those people who say Pep has realised the job is bigger than he thought and had his eyes opened?

Seriously? A soundbite for the fucking ages that must be.

THE reason he took this job is EXACTLY because he knew how big the challenge was.

So, the most meticulous tactical thinker the game has seen in a generation decided to not do his research or watch the Premier League.

Yep, that sounds right.

Behave your fucking selves.

To be fair, the club did try to sign Hazard but we rejected the agent's demands for a sweetener (circa £10 mill if my memory serves to his Dad)

He therefore signed for Chelsea...

Mancini was forced out by the team I believe... not because of under-investment or any under-achievement

R10 million as a sweeter shouldn't be an issue ever again. There are now rumours about Sanchez (and every other player on the planet) and if we want him then pay whatever it takes.

Hazard is a great player and I would love him to be playing for us - when he plays for Chelski he is a diving twat, but at City he would be a God.

Cant think of a side in world football who has underacheived as much as this squad in the past three years, even united have won two cups and possibly the europa league. We do look slightly better than last season buts thats to be expected after spending another 150 million last summer, although you take kompany out of that defence and its truly embarrasing. Dont know what it is although the constant changing if the starting 11 mustnt help neither would the fact we've constantly failed to upgrade the full back positions. Either way pretty piss poor effort 1 league cup since we last won the league. Maybe its because we overrate them but a side with silva, aguero, fernandinho and kdb should be doing more.

Like I said earlier in the thread today, spoon fed Media drivel that is lapped up by some and regurgitated as fact.

What a superb post, one of the best and one that should make some fans of ours feel embarrassed of their attacks on Pep.
Lets hope he is right but it is all aspirational stuff which may or may not transpire. You could just as easily construct an argument pointing to the flaws in Pep's footballing philosophy particularly when placed in an English context. Flaws which while never fully exposed in Germany did manifest themselves in his Euro campaigns with Bayern.
Pep deserves a chance to shut up the critics put he does not deserve to be above criticism.

It was a bit more that 10 Million Rand mate lol.

Gundogan was a great player his injuries have been horrific he's not coming back as good or better. Other teams will strengthen as well. We don't know who we will sign or whether they will be bonyesque or decent. To just say we will win everything next year given how average we currently are seems a tad ridiculous and I've been reading that for the past 4 seasons.
I don't think anyone really believes we will win everything to be fair. But I'm certainly in a positive frame of mind about next season.

I agree he saw it as a challenge and way of showing the world how good a manager he really is , he will have us dominating for the next decade
That said I bet he didn't expect Kompany to hardly feature and Aguero to become less potent or Bravo to lose all confidence.
The thing that excites me more is that he will hopefully stay longer to sprinkle his magic dust

Diego Costa will not face any retrospective action for kicking out at Vincent Kompany, Mike Dean didn't deem it a bookable offence. [Mirror]
