Chelsea(A) - Post Match Thread

Job to find anything wrong with that performance, but it wouldn't be Bluemoon without it, so how about the rash challenge by Otamendi at the end and the fancy flick by Jesus giving the ball away when there were better options? Nah, we will let them go! This is the best City side ever, definitely a step up from last year .

I went fuckin berserk when Oti made that challenge

When I'd calmed down once the danger had gone I looked and both the dogs were cowering down the side of the sofa

It's easy to underestimate city, to be fair to him!!!!

Fewest goals conceded 1st (equal)
Fewest shots against 1st

I can't remember a better away performance.

Chelsea were in absolute prime form, & full of confidence, having just produced one of their best ever away European performances.

Agreed. Chelsea are a top side, to win like we did at their ground yesterday was as good as it gets. That game yesterday was between the best two teams in the PL IMO and we dominated it.

Basing it on the recent tackle on Jesus I thought it was perfect.

If a side is going to press this City team, they have to be absolute fucking experts at it, not just decide to do it on the day.

It's like us, under Mancini or the Pelle, playing Barca & going 'oh we'll press these today, that will stop them'. Erm..
Biggest mistake any team can make is to press this City team when the keeper or back 4 have got the ball. It's almost as if it was part of Pep's masterplan to have Bravo there for a year to make them appear vulnerable to the press. Whatever your opinions are about Bravo, Ederson is absolutely different gravy when it comes to possession football at the back. And his out ball is not to be sniffed at either.

thought I'd do a season to season points compare v RAGS after 7 games. City 7 points up against same opposition compares to last season.

Interesting
Also highlights rags have played more games at home and are yet to come against any team of any quality

Left ours to travel on the V1 at 9 o`clock Saturday morning. Then, train, walk, tube, walk, pub the White House in Parsons Green. Walked to ground, watched the fantastic match, walked back to Parsons Green tube on off different tube lines go back to Euston at 21.02. Last train left at 21.01 had to go to Victory and then walk to the Coach Station. arrived at M.I.A at 4.30 hot and sweaty and fucked. Walked to find a fucking taxi got in at 5am this morning.

Well worth every discomfort.

I agree.

If Chelsea let that defeat get into their heads then they could fade away, as we did last season, but if they forget about it & get back on track, they are a class above Utd & Liverpool & probably Spurs too as the season unfolds. They still could be our main title rivals at the end.
