Their goal was the first time Stones has been caught up field in a long time. I am not saying it was down to him by any means, but it might not be the worst reminder to us going forwards

Same here,in the early days it was the 46 bus,then it was changed years later to the 100,.Long wait if you missed out.

I disagree. I believe the corner flag is already moving as the ball is kicked.

Also, having watched the clip on youtube at 0.25x speed, I can see that his foot sharply changes direction after kicking the flag and before the ball.

your right about chelsea not parking the bus (far to open) ? but city also opened up and chelsea did have a good 10 minutes before city just clicked into place and blew them away. for me the trouble city have with teams parking the bus is missed chances early doors ? pep knows it and keeps going on about the chances we create. even the half chances we have sometimes should have done better with

but the one big thing is with teams parking the bus if you don't buy a ticket and shoot you will not score
times and times again your screaming just SHOOT ? just like sterling yesterday it could have easy been a wasted chance because he over worked it and hit the post and city got lucky with the rebound

the next 5 league games in jan after the cups will defo be hard with them all lower teams and 4 games at home so parking the bus will be on view and city just have to score early and away we will go

Correct, he moved his foot to the right in order to pass it the 2 yards to whoever was the man next to him, which he succeeded in doing (in a round about sort of way).
The fact that he flicked the corner flag first before the football means nothing. Bottom line is that despite making himself look like a pigeon toed bellend with Footsie the Clown size 15 boots, he still physically kicked the ball into play, no way should the game have been stopped and the corner retaken.
 
One brilliant passage of play on about 60th minute where Chelski had been chasing shadows for the better part of 7 minutes and eventually they nicked it back, the beIN commentator Peter Drury quipped "that's the first Chelsea touch since about last Tuesday".
Laughed out loud at that rascal.
 
I've waited 24 hours and watched the whole match again on City+ because I was rather worried about this match. The second time around took the worry out of watching and our play really was as good as I remembered from Sunday. City were wonderful - and for the first time this season I can say with complete honesty that it was just like watching City! I can't really say any more because I haven't got a clue how to analyse that match - it was simply the work of a genius executed by real footballing artists. And I have to say how much I enjoyed the commentary on City+. Not the commentary that should be on national TV perhaps, but splendid for its enthusiasm and joy in a marvellous City performance in troubled times. Brilliant City!
