My only concern is how slow we've been out of the blocks in the previous two games. We've needed a half time boost before we got going.
I think maybe we underestimated them a little bit, can't see us making the same mistake against Chelsea.

We get a clean sheet at Chelsea it might put to bed the myth we can't defend.
Big test though and bit like when we went to spurs last season and got beat comfortable all be it we a poor team.

Going for 1-3

Genuinely believe Aguero will be on the bench for this one
The way pep almost sacrificed Jesus (ha.) on the wing last night and embraced him when he came off says to me he was giving aguero last night, but will make a point of trusting gabby on the biggest stage on saturday

Would not be against seeing Danilo in a holding role with Fernandinho as @MarsLlama suggested

Also think Bernado will play

Long season this and just think after the way the old guard let him down after he set us up perfectly at the bridge last year, he will want to go there with something energetic and fresh, and a team that Chelsea didnt slap around last year

I can see Chelsea setting up to defend this one even more than normal given our goalscoring form and hit us on the counter(they are very good at this hope we are ready for it). I'm sure Pep has been looking forward to this after the way the game went when they came to ours last season.

I hope we smash them but I'm expecting a tight game.

Really looking forward to this one. It's the first chance to really put down our mark in the league and it'll be our toughest test so far.

In Bakayoko and Kante they have a very dominant midfield, so I wouldn't be surprised to see an extra body next to Fernandinho (allowing Stones to come into midfield) with De Bruyne out wide. Also wouldn't be a shock if Mangala played to shackle Morata and if we try to match their system like last year.

I'm saying:

5-2-3
Ederson
Walker Danilo Stones Mangala Delph
D. Silva Fernandinho
De Bruyne Jesus Sterling

I'd bring Silva off for Gundogan and Delph or Danilo off for Sane to switch to a 4-3-3 if we're pushing for a goal second half.

I think if Shakattack had a decent forward last night then we would have played a team similar to Chelsea. And we did ok, in fact it should have been 5. If we keep 11 players on the pitch (and Chelsea will be playing for red cards again) and take our chances, as we won't get many, we will get something out of the game. I just can't predict this one, or get a feeling for it.
1-1
