If Aguero out, we could play the following up top;

Mahrez Sterling Sane

Sterling will interlink with silva so not typical front man...would be very fluid

Would be a smack in the chops to Gabby but I think it'd proper mess with any game plan Chelsea/Luiz had.

This will obviously be a tough test, but listened to Cundy and Durham on Talkshite on the way home and they were slating Chelsea. They were saying the defence is in total disarray, particularly Alonso and Luiz.

Keep Hazard quiet and we will have a good chance of securing a win. Pep needs to play Sane and Sterling and they could have a field day if Chelsea's poor form continues.

There is a reason Pep has a great deal of respect for Maurizio Sari.. Sari is a great coach, plays exciting football and Chelsea will improve significantly but currently they are no match for City.

Sari just stated:

“Manchester City is in another category, we are not at their level, we have to play and fight for a place in the top 4".......... “City is the best team in Europe, maybe in the world, maybe they can win the Champions League, but it all depends on the moments, last season they were the best team in the Champions League, but in both games against Liverpool they did not play, maybe the meetings did not come at the right time for them,".

Sari is wise and candid.

City 2 - 0 Chelsea

For whatever reason I'm not scared of Chelsea at all. They're obviously a good team but I feel we match up well with them and they're on a bit of a poor run of form. A draw would be a good result but to be completely honest I'd feel a bit disappointed with that.

Team virtually picks itself, based on availability, with the only real question being whether Sterling plays through the middle or wide, with a Jesus in the middle. I’d pick the former.

Chelsea are not to be underestimated, they can beat anybody on their day and if Hazard has a worldie getting a result is a very tough ask, particularly at Stamford Bridge. However, of all the top 4 teams, Chelseas approach suits us best, they play similar football to us or at least they want to eventually so it will be a case of who can do it better rather than a battle of different styles clashing. we're the best around at what we do, that gives us a big advantage and whilst you can never be disappointed with a point at Stamford Bridge I really think we should be winning this and need to as to not give a liverpool a sniff to cling on to.

Team picks itself really depending on whos available. If Aguero isn't fit I could see Pep being tempted to play Sterling down the middle but I think he will resist that option as it might be a little too much to have too many similar players looking for the same space and making the same movements, and it doesn't give us much in the way of impact from the bench. Jesus to start if Aguero isn't fit and let's hope he starts finding his shooting boots.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Delph
Fernandinho
Silva
Bernardo
Sane
Sterling
Aguero/Jesus
