I'm a little surprised at the formation, and a bit nervy with demichelis getting his first start in this environment.

That being said, if memory serves me correct, I don't think we've played this formation under Pellegrini. I think Chelsea will have prepared for completely different tactics and hopefully this will throw them off a bit.

Last year we almost NEVER played in one striker...you can position them differently and say Balotelli is your "winger" but that's crap...we played with true lone striker only before Kun/Dzeko/Negredo arrived...again - if I'm wrong and this produces anything other than us INVITING pressure - feel free to take your shots.
