I did...at the time Tevez was here, and was a lone striker.

Trivia of the day: when did the "boring, boring City" chants come around?? When we played 4-5-1.
Are best performance of the season last year was when Tevez played as a lone striker against United away. You really need to piss off to that Dzeko forum.

Oh, really??? Balotelli didn't play in that game??

Last year we almost NEVER played in one striker...you can position them differently and say Balotelli is your "winger" but that's crap...we played with true lone striker only before Kun/Dzeko/Negredo arrived...again - if I'm wrong and this produces anything other than us INVITING pressure - feel free to take your shots.
Im talking about when we beat them 2-1

Almost the exact same formation as we're playing today.

Those arses at Sky have just dug The Kaiser out to take the piss out of us
Twats!!!

I don't think he said anything bad. He said Bayern v us was one of the best periods they've had in 20 years. That's a huge amount of respect to us.

Well, for all the people who were bitching and crying for pre-Kun 4-5-1 formation - you get your wish and today you will get a chance to see how unproductive and BORING that formation is.

I am predicting switch back to 4-5-2 at the half.

One-striker formations are so f-ing dull that I'm also predicting almost ZERO good chances in front of their goal.

Especially since Kun IS NOT made out for lone striker in 4-5-1. He is simply not.

This is ludacris IMO, hope I'm wrong. If I am wrong - feel free to get at me at the half.
Made me smile did that...COME ON CITY

A lot of negativity I don't really understand.

Everyone knows Chelsea's threat is the three attacking midfielders. The thought if those three dropping in between the two lines scares me to death. Our midfield two wouldn't cope.

Perfectly logical and the right decision to play a holding player.

Not about paying too much respect or being too cautious. You have to give yourself a chance first, we'd be battered with two in midfield.

Have we every lost to Chelsea when they have these midfielders?

There was a pretty decent "3 man midfield?" thread on here a little while back, and some posters were really floating that Garcia behind Yaya/dinho idea.

So we'll see how that works today! I actually feel a little better about this than just leaving Yaya and Dinho to deal with the Chavs' midfield attackers.

Let's get 'em Blues! Take three from these Cockney twats!

MP keeping his ace(s) up his sleeve in Negredo and Navas, with a packed midfield to stifle and frustrate the home team, and with that Maureen and the home fans!
Keep it tight for the first half, maybe sneak a goal, then unleash the Beast in the 2nd half, and if we really need an miracle, Navas down the wing, but unless our defence holds up, all MP's plans will be for nought.....
