Cheers for the info, if you've got advance tickets for the 9pm train they won't let you go on the earlier one though?

I've asked the question to a "man in the know" and the answer is yes. All City fans are being encouraged to travel on the 20.45 to improve the "journey experience" for non-football related customers on the 21.00.

Just for info, Virgin Trains are providing an additional service from Euston to Manchester post match at 20.45 to take the pressure off the only other return service at 21.00.
The 20.45 relief service will make the same calls as the 21.00 (Milton Keynes, Stafford, Crewe, Wilmslow and Stockport). It's not in public systems as yet but will appear in the next couple of days.

They'd be as well just making it a footex for fans and let the general public use the 21:00. Good to see that VTWC have the foresight to think of this although it does help that they have spare sets and crews in place to run this.
